The Irish Cancer Society organises a series of fun runs throughout Ireland to raise much needed funds for the organisation. In 2014, chaosdesignorder was asked to design and manufacture a medal with commemorative ribbon for these Run, Walk & Roll events, as a thank you to participants.
We started the project with a series of concept designs, and once we had one agreed with the client, we created the wireframes in Adobe Illustrator. Using magic and lights within Cinema 4D, photo-realistic 3D models were rendered so that the client could sign off on the final designs.
These 3D renders and a 3D data file were also supplied to our manufacturer who were able to manufacture the medals to scale, and have them delivered to Ireland in the nick of time before the first event.
